CARS, TRUCKS
AND SERVICE VEHICLES
INCLUDING the Open Class
16. TRAFFIC
16.1 GENERALITY
Vehicles must comply with national legal requirements for road traffic in the country where the vehicle is
registered, as well as other rules specified in this Regulation. Equipment in all categories must comply in all
respects with the International Convention on Road Traffic.
During the race, the crews must strictly comply with the code of Moroccan Road.
Competitors must in all cases, adapt their speed to site conditions which are changing frequently and
attention will always needed, whatever the type of route (selective sections, liaison, off road, ...). 16.2 SPEED LIMIT

for competitors
The rate of passage of competitors in the villages and areas defined as "areas of speed control" crossed both
road section that selective sector will be limited to 30 km / h, 50 km / h or 90 km / h according to the stage, or

competitors or the local population will be indicated. Speed checks will be carried out by GPS.
For service vehicles

Overtaking is prohibited. The staff of the organization will carry out checks. The statement may be made by

Speed limit (cars and trucks) in Morocco:
Morocco is the speed of 100km / h on national and 120 km / h on motorways for Autos.
Trucks are allowed a 85 km / h in charge and 90Km / h emplty. It should in any case comply with the signs.
Principles of speed control:
1) offense
An offense consists of one or more overtaking in the same zone speed control, defined by a Started Area (DZ)
and End Area (FZ). The 2nd offense will occur when one or more exceedances within a new zone speed
control. In case of recurrence during the event, the 3rd offense (in three different areas) can result in
penalties up to exclusion, in function of the offense
2) Pulse
Complying with GPS function, a pulse is recorded at least every 150m and exceedances are displayed in the
"Speed" page of the GPS.
3) Penalties
See General Requirements FIA art. 24.10.
4) The payment of fines must be paid to the Competitors relationor the Race Director within 48 hours
after notification, under penalty of refusal departure.
